What we should be tracking is whether this represents a genuine shift in how enterprises access data (moving BI from specialized dashboards into chat) or whether it's a convenience layer that still requires the same data governance and validation work, just relocated.

If Slack publishes error rates or hallucination metrics for generated reports within the next two quarters, that signals confidence in the product's reliability. If those metrics never appear and adoption stalls after initial pilots, it suggests the feature is marketing theater rather than a working alternative to traditional BI tools.
